The Dress Theory Seattle Feature

Choosing a wedding dress is a staggering task, and the feeling of excitement can quickly turn to dread if you don’t know where to look. The Dress Theory, located at 4232 E Madison Street in Madison Park, is the perfect place to begin your search!

The owner, founder, and creative at The Dress Theory and LVD Bridal is Camille Seven. She says, “Ever since I opened my first location of The Dress Theory (in Green Lake) in 2012, I dreamed of the shop being in Madison Park. After serving PNW brides for 10 years, we were finally able to make that dream a reality and move our intimate, bridal boutique business to the neighborhood of our dreams thanks to Cameron’s help. We love that our brides are able to shop and visit the neighborhood shops before and after their appointments with us, see the water when they walk out of our front door, and get a free glass of champagne at the pub next door after they buy their wedding dress with us. It’s a dream come true!”

Know When and Where to Start

Selecting a dress should be one of the first steps in wedding planning. Be patient, as it can take time to find what you’re looking for. The process shouldn’t be rushed, but timing needs to be considered. At The Dress Theory, styles are hand picked and carefully curated from an extensive list of designers. They also frequently host trunk shows, which provide the opportunity to see a select designer’s collections in store. Their price range varies, but the majority of the gowns cost between $2,700 – $4,700. Sizing can be ordered from 00-20. Scheduling an appointment is a must! A professional stylist will be on hand to assist you in finding exactly what you’re looking for.

Helpful Resources

Their website offers resources and helpful tips. These include knowing your budget before you begin shopping, as well as considering the cost of alterations and accessories. There’s also a section called Our Brides on their website, which is especially valuable. Not only does it have reviews for the shop, it also lists photographers, venues, and catering companies other happy couples have used. When there’s so much to plan, it’s indispensable to have a place to go to gather ideas and start connecting with vendors.
