5 Things To Do This March in Seattle

Emerald City Comicon: March 2nd - 5th

Emerald City Comic Con is back! This year it’s located at a new venue, the Seattle Convention Center Summit Building. Get ready for premier comics, anime, gaming, and more! See people dressed in cosplay, attend a panel, and pick up some swag from various vendors. You can even get some ink at the tattoo pavilion through Ink Fusion Empire. Tickets start at $40. There are also 4-day passes available. Be sure to get yours today before they sell out.

Penn Cove Mussel Festival: March 4th - 5th

If you would like a new adventure outside of the city, head north to Whidbey Island and join in the fun at the Penn Cove Mussel Fest. Located in historic Coupeville, come celebrate the bold, briny, and blue. The festival offers chowder tasting, cooking demonstrations, and mussel farm tours by boat. There’s a beer and wine garden for adults wanting a beverage. Also, you won’t want to miss the mussel-eating competition. Children’s activities will be held at Coupeville Wharf. Entry to the Musselfest is free, but check out tickets for activities that are not complementary.

Irish Festival: March 11th & 12th

Seattle Center Festal presents the Irish Festival Seattle. This event takes place at the Armory Food & Event Hall at the Seattle Center. Produced by the Irish Heritage Club there will be plenty to learn and enjoy about Irish Culture. Get enthralled by musical performances, step-dancing, genealogy workshops, history lectures, craft goods, and more. This is a free event, and all are welcome. So come celebrate the Irish way just in time for St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick's Day Dinner: March 17th

Hot Stove Society presents a special celebration, the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner. Hosted at Hotel Andra in Belltown, this demo and dinner features chefs Bridget Charters and Eeamon Monaghan who will be cooking up classic Irish dishes. Try beef short rib cottage pie or some traditional wheat soda bread. 5 courses will be demonstrated and everyone will enjoy the substantial taste of Irish cuisine. All guests will be served a glass of Guinness at the start and will end with an Irish coffee. Enroll price is $105 per person.

Northwest Record Show: March 26th

Are you an avid music collector? Are you looking for an amazing collection of vinyl, CD’s, and other music collectables for sale? Look no further than the Northwest Record Show. This event takes place at the Seattle Center in the Armory Food & Event Hall. There will be 50 tables filled with records, LPs, 45s, CD’s, and other music memorabilia. Genres range from R&B to Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Folk, Bluegrass, Punk, and more! Admission costs $3, but if you want to gain early access to the event you can go at 8am for $15 entry.
